US Park Police Chief Salvatore "Sal" R. Lauro

For years the US Park Police (USPP) have engaged in a protracted campaign against DC's homeless population. They patrol the Parks, circles and triangles (all of which are federal property in DC) kicking out and arresting homeless for merely trying to survive. When DC Mayor Fenty (super swine enabler...we'll focus on him soon) closed Franklin Shelter, USPP swept through Franklin Square harassing the homeless WHO HAVE NO WHERE ELSE TO GO. They have a long history of fu#ing with the homeless around Georgetown, and Dupont and Logan Circle as well.

They act with total impunity. In April, 2 USPP (names currently withheld) repeatedly shot Ronald Hughes, unarmed man, in DC. Luckily these swine didn't kill him, but after shooting him over and over again, they proceeded to recklessly drag him out of the car. Despite, Hughes being unarmed, he's currently being charged, pending indictment, with multiple felonies.

USPP also target the 'Gay Woods' around P Street roaming the woods and profiling individuals whom they believe to be 'promiscuous'. They're actions around P Street Beach have helped complete the gentrification of the area.

But if that's not enough, USPP are infamous for stealing 14 year old's skateboards and beating tweens at 'Freedom' Plaza, Archives and around the memorials. Ask any kid trying to have some good clean fun there, they'll tell you a story or two.


And on top of all this, they engage in "routine" traffic stops in DC's neighborhoods, almost exclusively pulling over people of color.

Finally, USPP show up at just about every protest in DC - sometimes in SWAT gear. They don't hesitate to use force bringing out the batons, horses, pepper spray and blunt force. They've targeted the Non violent Prop1 Vigil for the duration of its existence, arresting them at times. They routinely make up elaborate stories during trials - they perjure themselves and get away with it.

5 Years ago, a band of disgruntled officers wreaked havoc on the Police Chief's office, leaving used condoms and nails around her office. It would be terrible if that happened again.


The New Chief, Salvatore "Sal" R. Lauro has done nothing to stop any of this. He is complicit at best, instigator at worst.

Swine Lauro has spent his entire law enforcement career of 31 years with the USPP. Beginning in 1997, he was stationed in DC permanently and served as the commander of the Central district where he supervised over 75 officers and supervisors. He Also served as the Commander of the following branches: Special Forces, Special Events, and Planning and Development. Prior to being appointed chief, he was the assistant chief.

Swine Lauro resides with his wife Bernadine G. Lauro in the Brooks Ridge Subdivision of Chantilly. His house sits on 13,335 square feet of land. It is a 2-story house, half aluminum/half brick. The Water, Sewer and Gas are connected. He has 5 bedrooms, 2.5 baths, a fireplace, central air conditioning, and an English basement. The total living area is 2,484 square feet. The attached garage is 480 square feet, the wood deck is 288 square feet while the porch is only 24 square feet.

He purchased his house on May 27, 1997 (12 years ago almost to the day --- Congrats Swine Lauro!) for $274,900. The house was built this same year. The deed can be found at the Recorder of Deeds in Book #17497 and page #1065. The current assessed value is $572,470 which is down from a peak of $711,870 in 2006/7.

This information was obtained through entirely legal means. We first searched the white pages for the Swine's name in DC. Not finding anything, we moved on to Virginia. There we found the address. We cross-checked it with the Fairfax County Real Property Assessment database and verified that he indeed lives there. Simple. Legal. Public Information.
